We Do NOT Send Your Slides & Photos To India!
About a year ago, a new company with an office on the West Coast, came on the scene and started undercutting the USA competition on scanning slides and photos. It was hard to understand how they were able to absolutely cut prices to the bone, since we were already doing that, until we read their fine print.
What they don't tell you, is that they take your heirloom slides, films and photos and ship them 8,000 miles overseas to India. This company's website also is not up-front with the fact that they are doing this. They have this "minor detail" buried deep inside their "terms of service" which you have to "register" for so they have the evidence that you agreed to them sending your slides to India. You know, those long "conditions" things that you just click on and say that you read when you never really read it? The deception is in the details.
Some people may be perfectly fine with sending their irreplaceable, precious, 35mm slides and paper photo memories 8,000 miles away overseas but we have seen, by experience, that a lot of people are very uncomfortable with knowing this. This business that sends your slides and photos to India realizes that they are going to lose customers if they tell them what is really happening to their slides and photos otherwise they would be up-front with what is actually happening.
When you send your slides and photos to our service, they will NOT be leaving our premises until we have finished your job and we send them back to you. Don't be tricked by other companys that attempt to deceive you into allowing them to ship your slides and photos to the other side of the world, India. We don't know what conditions are like in this shop but we do know that India is notorious for sweatshops and taking advantage of poor people and even children. We can guarantee that there are no sweatshop conditions or underage laborers in our company. Your slides and photos are scanned by American citizens, who are more like artists than uncaring laborers and we work in clean, highly organized and air conditioned facilities.
If people want to send their slides and photos to India, we don't understand it but we will be happy to provide safe, dependable, worry-free, excellent service, right here in the USA.
